I love this robot. I think BigDog's one of the most adorable experiments in advanced automated locomotion ever. And the panto guys do a pretty good job mimicing it.

I appreciate how natural, yet completely and blisteringly odd it looks, all at once.

Nature is amazingly odd, but surprisingly effective in its oddness.

It's the running man that gets me.

I didn't expect it to be as amusing as it is.

I don't think I could ever be involved in a project like that. I'd be the nitwit giggling with glee the whole time, not doing anything productive.

If I got to work on something that utterly keen, I could be productive through giggles.

*grins* It's been around a few years now, at least, even the parody isn't new, but I suddenly remembered it and figured, what the hey, post!

My first thought was "why did they add those weird feet" followed up a second later by "Oh... wait..."

That robot's neato. Recently there was a piece by some goof who got really worked up over "cruelty to robots," because he felt an emotion surge when Big Dog was kicked and regained balance. "No, no, sir. That's just your human brain making bad pattern recognition..."
