Gladly. Not only do they have flaming coffee, the food is better than good, it's best.

I'm thrilled I finally got pictures of some of the process. Poncho's has been a personal favourite place for years.

Meals are priced from 10 - 15 dollars, generally.

Re: church bar - Not that I'm aware of.

My mistake, then. Maybe there *should* be a church bar: all that stone, stained glass and wood, with candles everywhere. Guinness would have to be served: after all, what's a church without holy water?

Those are gorgeous pictures, by the way. I'm going to want to check out new dining establishments upon my return - places that are full of character and decent food without being ridiculously expensive. This one looks like it would fit the bill on at least the first criteria.

Speaking of Denman, isn't there a pub on that street that used to be a church?

Fantastic! I can't decide whether the blue in the last looks more gas or electric.

I think it was Kahlua.

That looks dazzling and delightful.

I remember eating at Nyala, an Ethiopian restaurant formerly in Kits but now on Main, and having them perform a more visually modest but highly aromatic coffee roasting ceremony where they would freshly roast and bring to the table a basket of coffee beans for your coffee. My memory may be flawed since others are attributing this coffee preparation ritual to Fassil.

At Poncho's they dim the lights and the live music plays a special flaming coffee song.

It's the sort of thing I desperately want to know how to do, and yet know I will never be able to afford to bribe her half enough to teach me.
