"We tried traps. But the cat is too stupid for standard moosetraps--I'm afraid she'd get caught--and the glue traps were just tragic. There's nothing like pulling out the fridge and seeing a dejected ton of moose huddled in the corner, looking at you with enormous brown eyes, each hoof glued solidly down to the floor."

  • Update on Sub-Genius Child Custody Case.

  • GM is running a contest to "make your own" commercial for the gas-guzzling Tahoe SUV. General Motors has teamed up with Donald Trump's 'The Apprentice' franchise to create a website that allows prospectives to make their own commercials online. The website allows readers to select backgrounds, video shots, and input text in an attempt to win prizes. Instead, they are getting justly served. The internet is finding it's own uses. Common sense says these won't be left up for very long, so steal them now.

one, two, three, four, five, six.

edit: the best one is the one my roommate Graham made, here.

    a) Lovely to see that the Judges are fair and impartial...

    b) Good to see that some systems can be abused properly. The T-hoe looks like another fine target for RPG rounds, since I can't see any other use for it. It's amazing how blind GM is to market trends.

I think both bits of news tie together nicely. There's a sense of shared POV.

that is a very odd child custody case. methinks that judge should step down, or maybe fall down?

the GM subvertisement dealies are pretty cool. is there any way to actually save those videos, short of screen recorders?

You're asking the wrong person. I don't know how to theft those ones at all.

Regarding the custody case, I think it's obscene that someone so heavily opinionated is left in the judicial system. To me it's a clear case of conflicting interest. Minimum.

    Speaking of gas-guzzlers

You've probably seen the stuff about the CXT by now, but if not, then take a look. Notice how they carefully avoid mentioning it's gas mileage rating (that being 6 miles to the gallon of deisel). I hang my head in shame at this thing.

"Whatever you call it, the CXT leaves bystanders speechless."

I love how the copy-writers couldn't say anything nice.

Yeah. I basically got the impression that the proposed slogan was "The New CXT: for guys with even more need to compensate than those that drive H2s".

It probably got shot down in marketing. Too bad really.

Those ads are brilliant. I love the tango one especially. Thanks for helping me feel selfrightous about my public transportation use.

You're more than welcome. I've actually been sitting on this for a few days, being uncertain how to post it cohesively, but Inktea got on my case, so thank her too. Specific requests tend to be dealt with as soon as I can.
